Why I Write
Every story I write begins with something I want to share.
Sometimes it's a memory I never want to lose.
Sometimes it's the wonder of Hawaiʻi.
Sometimes it's a reminder that kindness, family, and the smallest moments often become the ones we remember most.
One story became another.
A collection became a dream.
Eventually, Mālama Press was born.
Mālama means to care for, protect, and cherish.
That's what I hope these books do—for the stories they tell, the memories they preserve, and the families who share them together.
